What the front-desk app does

It is the Android tablet app that runs your front counter. One tablet pairs with one shop, and your team share it — each action is recorded against the staff member who entered their short PIN.

  • Add walk-in customers to the queue
  • Check customers in when they arrive
  • Take payment at checkout
  • Record money movements through the day

How setup works

Do these three things on the tablet you want to use at the counter.

  1. Download the app

    Tap Download the front-desk app, then open the file once it finishes. If the tablet asks for permission, please allow installing apps from this source.

  2. Open the app

    The app opens on a pairing screen, ready to connect this tablet to your shop. Have your admin screen open in front of you, because it shows the activation code you need next.

  3. Pair the tablet — scan the code or type it

    Your admin screen shows an activation code as both a QR code and an 8-character code. Choose whichever suits the tablet in your hand: both are fully supported, and either one pairs the tablet with your shop.

    Point the tablet's camera at the QR code on your admin screen.

    Enter the 8-character code from your admin screen into the app.

    Whichever you choose, it happens in the app — there is nothing to enter on this page.

What scanning the code does, before and after you install

If you scanned the activation code to get here, that is exactly what should happen. The same code does two different jobs depending on whether the app is installed yet.

Before the app is installed

Scanning opens this install page, because the app is not on the tablet yet and Android has nothing to hand the link to.

After the app is installed

Scanning the same code opens the app directly and pairs the tablet with your shop for you.

So once the app is installed, please scan the code again if that is easiest, or type the 8-character code into the app instead. Both finish the setup.
